Deleting a Source

August 31, 2026

Summary

This article explains how to permanently remove a source from Flxpoint, including the necessary prerequisites and the impact on your data.

Deleting a source removes a specific inventory origin (such as a supplier, warehouse, or 3PL) from your Flxpoint account. This action is permanent and should only be performed when you no longer intend to sync inventory or route orders to that location.

Before you can delete a source, you must ensure it is no longer active within your current workflows. The platform may prevent deletion if the following conditions are not met:

  • No active integrations: All scheduled jobs (Get Inventory, Sync, etc.) for the source must be paused or disabled.
  • No pending orders: Ensure there are no open Fulfillment Requests (FRs) or pending orders assigned to this source.
  • Routing removal: The source should be removed from any active Routing Groups to prevent DOM logic from attempting to send new orders to a non-existent location.
  1. Navigate to the Sources tab in the main navigation menu.
  2. Locate the source you wish to remove and click on its name to open the source details.
  3. Look for the Actions menu (typically represented by a gear or three-dot icon) or the settings gear for that specific source.
  4. Select the Delete Source option.
  5. A confirmation prompt will appear. Type the required confirmation text (usually the name of the source) to verify the action.
  6. Click Confirm to permanently remove the source.

Understanding what happens to your data after deletion is critical for maintaining catalog accuracy:

Data TypeStatus After Deletion
Source InventoryPermanently removed from the Source Inventory view.
Mapping TemplatesMappings specific to this source integration are deleted.
Master CatalogProducts linked only to this source may be archived or removed if no other sources provide the same SKU.
Order HistoryHistorical Fulfillment Requests and order data are retained for reporting purposes but can no longer be modified.
Warning: Deleting a source cannot be undone. If you only need to stop inventory updates temporarily, consider disabling the integration jobs instead of deleting the source entirely.
