Claude MCP Connector Setup and Workflows

The Flxpoint MCP connects your Flxpoint account to Claude. You ask in plain English and Claude reads your live account data to answer: reports the app does not have, why an order routed the way it did, how each source is performing, which listings are in error.

It works in Claude chats and in Claude Code. Claude only sees what your own Flxpoint user can see, and only Admins and account Owners can make changes through it.

The latest release is v0.3 (catalog and bulk actions), live since October 1, 2026. Every release and what it added is listed in the Flxpoint MCP release notes.

1. In Claude, open Settings and go to Connectors, then choose to add a custom connector.
2. Enter the Flxpoint MCP address: https://app-backend.flxpoint.com/mcp
3. Sign in with your Flxpoint login and authorize the connection.
4. Start a new chat and ask a question about your account.

In Claude Code, add it with one command: claude mcp add --transport http flxpoint https://app-backend.flxpoint.com/mcp

To revoke access, go to Account Settings and open Apps in Flxpoint.

• Orders and fulfillment: orders and their items, fulfillment requests (purchase orders) and their items, shipments and source invoices.
• Catalog: source inventory, products and listings, each by variant or by parent, including builder issues and locked fields.
• Jobs and logs: whether a job finished and what it produced.
• Your setup: sources, channels, shipment SLAs, order routing logs, and your tags, mapping lists, mapping templates and product builders.

• search: returns the rows that match, with the filters you know from the app.
• analytics: counts, totals and averages, grouped by anything and by day, month or year. Claude can turn the answer into a chart.
• get_order_routing_logs: explains why an order routed, or did not route, the way it did.
• list_sources and list_channels: the sources and channels on your account.
• get_shipment_sla: your shipping SLA (how many days to ship counts as on time) and any per-source overrides, which is what "late" is measured against.
• lookup: finds a tag, mapping list, mapping template or product builder by name.
• bulk_action: runs a bulk action on a selection (Admins and Owners only, see below).
• read_doc: Flxpoint's own reference on fields and terms, which Claude reads so that "source" and "channel" mean what they mean in Flxpoint.

Users with the Admin role and account Owners can ask Claude to run the bulk actions they already use in Flxpoint. For everyone else the connection stays read-only. Before an action runs it is checked for permission, the expected number of rows and what else it touches, and every action reports how far it got.

• Inventory: build products, stop building, remove builder issues, export, tag and untag.
• Products: build listings, rebuild products, export, tag and untag.
• Listings: rebuild, publish, delist, hide or unhide, pause or unpause, cancel a pending action, force sync, clear errors, tag and untag.
• Orders: tag, untag and export.

Not available through the MCP: editing records outside these actions, deleting, and uploading files. An Admin can also block the write tools in Claude's connector settings.

The connector includes a ready-made prompt, Source Performance Scorecard. It ranks your active sources for a date window by late-shipment rate, fulfillment request cancellation rate and gross margin, gives each a health score, and compares it with the previous period of the same length. It asks you for the window before it starts, and you can narrow it to certain sources or one channel.
